- Hear it read aloud
- Every page can be read aloud. Each word lights up as it is spoken, so children can follow along, and they can look up a word they don’t know. Try the preview
- Make the choices
- At the end of each chapter the reader chooses one of three paths, or writes their own idea for what happens next and earns 10 bonus Stars. The next chapter follows their choice. Try the preview
- Dress your hero
- The Adventure Wardrobe holds shirts, trousers, hats, shoes and items to mix and match, or full outfits that swap in the whole look at once. More pieces unlock as children finish stories. Try the preview
- Choose your hero
- Children pick one of 15 illustrated heroes and give them a name. That hero appears in the pictures and the words of every chapter. Try the preview
- Pick a world
- Each story starts in a world the child picks, from cloud kingdoms and pirate lagoons to moon bases, sorted into magical, mystery, adventure, wild and future worlds. Try the preview
- Chapter quiz
- Optional questions between chapters check understanding while the story is fresh, with four answers to choose from and friendly feedback. Try the preview
- Chapter book
- Between chapters a storybook opens: it recaps the choice that was made, turns to the next chapter’s title, and shows its first picture while the chapter is written. Try the preview
- Story-end treasure
- When a story ends the book closes, “The End” appears, and a treasure pop-up turns over what the story unlocked: an outfit, a world or a badge, plus Stars and Gems. Try the preview
- Story Isles map
- The Story Isles map shows how far a child has come. Each finished story moves their hero along the stepping stones towards the next island. Try the preview
- Family dashboard
- Grown-ups get a family dashboard with minutes read each day, stories finished, new words met, quiz skills and their child’s wish list. Try the preview
- Teacher Studio
- Teachers make a story for the whole class in about a minute, play spelling games on the board or on pupils’ devices, and manage classes and reports. Try the preview

Questions about the previews
Are these previews the real Litsee app?
They are small working copies of real parts of the app, built with Litsee's own pictures, sounds and narrator, and running on a sample story. Nothing you do here is saved or sent anywhere. In the app, the story is written and illustrated around your child's own hero, world and choices.
Can I order a printed copy of my child's story?
Not yet. The keepsake book preview shows the square page layout planned for printed books, but printed books can't be ordered at the moment. Finished stories stay in your child's library to re-read.
Do I need to sign up to try the previews?
No. Every preview on this page works without an account. To make your own stories, start the 7-day free trial; a card is needed to start it, and nothing is charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
Is there a version for schools?
Yes. Teacher Studio lets teachers make a story for the whole class, play spelling games on the board or on pupils' devices, and manage classes and reports.
